The Calis Method
Reiki, Ear Seeding & Nervous System Support
Calis works with the nervous system through calm, steady body-led techniques.
It is designed for people who are functioning, but are stressed, overwhelmed and running on empty.

How Reiki supports stress
Reiki is often used as a complementary practice to support stress relief, emotional regulation, and nervous system balance.
Reiki is a Japanese energy-based practice.
During a session, hands are placed lightly on or just above the body. There is no pressure and nothing required from you.
As energy is invited to move through the body in a steady, supportive way, the nervous system begins to settle and a deep state of relaxation can emerge.
Reiki does not force change. It reduces demand - allowing the body to soften.
How Auricular Acupressure (Ear Seeding) supports the work
Auricular acupressure (ear seeding) works directly with specific points on the ear that correspond with the nervous system.
Small seeds are placed on specific ear points and remain for several days, offering subtle ongoing support between sessions. You may feel slight tenderness when they are pressed - this is normal and typically brief.
You will be shown how to gently stimulate them once or twice a day to extend the regulation response.
During a Session
During a session, you remain fully clothed and supported in a comfortable position.
If you are receiving Reiki, hands are placed lightly on or just above the body in a calm, steady way. There is no manipulation, discussion, or effort required from you. Some people notice warmth or subtle sensations. Others simply experience rest.
If your session includes ear seeding, small adhesive seeds are applied to selected points on the ear while you are laying down.
After a session, people commonly describe feeling:
-
more settled or grounded,
-
less emotionally reactive
-
clearer in the mind
-
less drained by everyday stressors
Shifts may be immediate or gradual. Both are normal.

When the nervous system feels depleted, overstimulated, or stretched beyond capacity, regulation becomes harder to access.
You might recognise this as:
-
feeling emotionally drained or overstimulated
-
cycles of reactivity followed by exhaustion
-
struggling to rest, even when tired
-
wanting support that doesn’t require effort or explanation
It is especially suited to those seeking regulation and supporting tools rather than self-improvement.
